Jay Nixon spoke out in favor of the autism insurance mandate bill that was obstructed by Ron Richard and the House Republican Majority. Amongst the notable moments include there being “No excuses” for failing to act on the bill and that their only argument is caving to the insurance industry.

The quickest way to get that bill passed is with a Democratic majority in 2011, not with lots of hoping that the guys who did the wrong thing in 2009 will change their minds in 2010.

But then again, if they never hold a vote, the embattled Republicans can pretend that they support the bill. If they can pretend to support expanded medicaid while constantly voting against restoring medicaid coverage to pre-Blunt levels, then they can definitely pretend to support this bill.
