Ah, a Second Amendment issue, sort of:

Do you suppose if Jesse James were to come back from the dead he wouldn’t be subject to prosecution? Just asking. I can see it now – if this passes some idiot will try to rob a bank with a flintlock…
Then there’s this:
HB 606 Increases the regulatory authority of the Office of Athletics for mixed martial arts contests and prohibits youth under eighteen years of age from competing in a cage or enclosure
Sponsor: Stevenson, Bryan P. (128) Proposed Effective Date: 08/28/2009
CoSponsor: Flanigan, Tom (127) ……….etal. LR Number: 1521L.01I
Last Action: 02/05/2009 – Introduced and Read First Time (H)
HB606
Next Hearing: Hearing not scheduled
Calendar: Bill currently not on a calendar
“…prohibits…competing in a cage or enclosure…”
Evidently that right is exclusively reserved for the majority caucus in the House.
how many people are busted on weapons charges for antique firearms?
Oh yeah, check out HB620 when it comes to really striking back at taxes.
In less exciting bill news, HB600 adds a judge to the 38th circuit (Christian & Taney counties), and it seems like it intends to have one judge from each one of those counties.
Maybe I am completely off here and totally misremembering – but t seems like I recall hearing about a case a few years ago where a rehabbed felon (seems like he was convicted and sentenced for selling illegal universal satellite receivers – not a violent guy at all) was legally deer hunting with an antique firearm and had his tag, and two different jurisdictions got into a pissing match over it, with him caught in the middle. One said he was fine and within the law, another said he was a felon in possession of a firearm.
Anyway, as the resident gun nut on this site, I say fine. Gun control, in my opinion, is the ability to hit ones target.
