A bill introduced in late February:
FIRST REGULAR SESSION
SENATE BILL NO. 457 [pdf]
97TH GENERAL ASSEMBLYINTRODUCED BY SENATOR PARSON.
Read 1st time February 28, 2013, and ordered printed.TERRY L. SPIELER, Secretary.
1956S.01IAN ACT
To amend chapter 105, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to state employee salaries.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 105, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 105.007, to read as follows:
105.007. No salary of any employee of the state shall exceed the salary established for the governor pursuant to section 26.010.
[emphasis in original]
In the 2011-2012 Missouri Blue Book [pdf]:
Nixon, Jeremiah W, gov, $133,821
Haith, Frank, coach, head basketball mens, $350,000
Pinkel, Gary, coach, head football, $350,000
[emphasis added]
They’ll find a way around the restriction if this bill becomes law. For the coaches, I mean, not the Governor.
Priorities.
If the Governor negotiates a shoe contract, a broadcast contract, and/or a camp contract does it count toward the total? Just asking.
