Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder may run for governor after all, he says

….Citing a scrambled field of candidates in the wake of Tom Schweich’s death, Missouri Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder is considering jumping into the crowded race for the Republican nomination for Missouri governor.

Kinder has previously said he would seek a fourth term as lieutenant governor. “But the Schweich tragedy shuffled the deck,” he said in an interview with the Post-Dispatch today.

“In my travels around the state, and my visits with folks . . . they’re saying, `We’ve looked around and we think that you should enter this race,’ ” said Kinder….

That could be really interesting. Pass the popcorn.
