Previously: Campaign Finance: bad timing (November 6, 2011)
After noting Representative Mike McGhee’s (r) report of a $7,500.00 campaign contribution last week toward his senate campaign from Sam Howard Regional Group, Imagine Schools, Inc. we thought we’d take a look at other contributions over the years associated with Imagine Schools. At the Missouri Ethics Commission, from 2010:
C071342 CITIZENS FOR TISHAURA O JONES Imagine Schools-Missouri Region 1509 Washington Ave., #501 St. Louis, MO 63103 3/12/2010 $300.00
C051254 MCGHEE FOR SENATE Imagine Schools-Missouri Region 1509 Washington Ave., Ste. #501 St. Louis, MO 63103 3/27/2010 $5,000.00
C000932 REPUBLICAN CENTRAL COMMITTEE OF ST LOUIS COUNTY Imagine Schools 1509 Washington Ave Suite 50 St. Louis, MO 63103 05/01/2010 $250.00
C071357 CITIZENS FOR DIECKHAUS Imagine Schools – Missouri Region 1509 Washington Avenue, Suite 501 St. Louis, MO 63103 Corporation 09/09/2010 $250.00
[emphasis added]
Representative Mike McGhee (r) was, again, the recipient of big bucks in 2010.
Representative Scott Dieckhaus (r), that paragon of support for teachers and public education? Really?
In 2009:
C051087 CITIZENS FOR TIMOTHY W JONES Imagine Schools Missouri Regional 1509 Washington Ave, Suite 501 St. Louis, MO 63103 9/23/2009 $500.00
[emphasis added]
In 2008:
C051254 MCGHEE FOR SENATE Yes Imagine Schools Missouri Regional 1509 Washington Ave., Suite 501 St. Louis, MO 63103 8/16/2008 $325.00
[emphasis added]
In 2007:
C061656 COMMITTEE TO ELECT REED IMAGINE SCHOOLS, INC 1005 N. GLOBE ROAD, SUITE 610 ARLINGTON, VA 22201 01/17/2007 $1,275.00
C061656 COMMITTEE TO ELECT REED IMAGINE SCHOOLS 706 N JEFFERSON ST. LOUIS, MO. 63103 06/11/2007 $1,000.00
[emphasis added]
Why did Representative Mike McGhee become a favorite? Just asking.
