I’ve heard that Sen. Brown’s letter in support of a public option may have been sent before all the signatures were collected (discussed in Willy’s post here,) in which case it’s not clear whether Sen. McCaskill purposefly left her name off the letter or not. But we’re petitioning her to make sure her name gets added, or at least that she reiterates her belief in a public option.

I do remember, however, that in September, after Obama’s health care address she said:
Together with her forays into bipartisanship with the likes of Lieberman, such statements are not encouraging. Perhaps this petition will get something definite from her though one way or the other. I am getting tired of trying to put the puzzle pieces together.
