The teabaggers protested in front of SEIU headquarters at noon Saturday because a black conservative man was injured at the Thursday evening Carnahan town hall. They contend that “union thugs” attacked a peaceable protester, while SEIU says Gladney attacked first.
Among the injured was Kenneth Gladney, 38, of St. Louis. He said he was with the Tea Party, handing out yellow flags with “Don’t tread on me” printed on them, when he was assaulted. He said he sought hospital treatment for injuries to his knee, back, elbow, shoulder and face.“I was attacked for something I believe in,” he said.
But Elston McCowan, an SEIU staffer, said Gladney was actually an instigator. McCowan accused Gladney of attacking him as he walked to his car. McCowan said he suffered a dislocated shoulder.
“Out of nowhere, the guy just assaults me,” said McCowan, 47, of St. Louis.
Who knows how it went down? Oh, excuse, me, the teabaggers do. There’s not a doubt in their minds. Gladney was at the event today in a wheelchair, and Dana Loesch was ranting about how the NAACP and the ACLU refuse to show up for a conservative black man. She was all about how conservatives truly love diversity:
Elston McCowan ran as the Green Party candidate for STL mayor earlier this year, and he is also a Baptist minister. Certainly this just is conjecture, but he would seem to me the type to more politically active than physically aggressive.

Even as they wheeled out Kenneth Gladney yesterday to sign little yellow “Don’t tread on me” flags, they were ranting against SEIU and ACORN, which is code for African Americans. Pinning any kind of misdemeanor on those two organizations justified them in working against the economic interests of the underclass of America, represented by those two organizations, whether their members are black or white.
