Ya know, I fought against Chris Koster in the primary, and haven’t seen a whole lot from him that has changed my mind about him, but this strikes me as an appropriate thing to say regarding Gov. Nixon’s use of the 9/11 terrorism exception to Sunshine Law.
“It seems that there probably is some middle ground where the concerns of the Capitol Police and the importance of open government can be achieved,” Koster told reporters after a news conference he held this morning in Springfield.
Nixon’s office is using the terrorism exception to block a Sunshine Law request from the Springfield News-Leader, which made the request in order to clear up some questions about the Lake of the Ozarks e. coli scandal.
Again, hat tip to Randy Turner.
