Usually on Friday we do public art blogging, but occasionally on Friday, we plan to vary that with some cat blogging.

House Wrens are brave and foolish creatures. Look at this one doing its damndest to antagonize our cat, Gus, even to the point of descending to ground level. When I left the house to run an errand, the wren was scolding the cat. When I came back a half hour later, the wren was still at it.

Gus, why is he so mad at you? Is it on general principle, or have you been dining on House Wren babies lately? The cat’s attitude is: Heh, if that bird wants to come a few feet closer, fine. I’ll give him my undivided attention. Otherwise, it’s time to lick my balls.
