A second floor hallway in the capitol building shortly before 9:00 a.m.

A couple of us are (er, will be) here in Jefferson City today to try and cover the mayhem inherent in the last week of the legislative session. We’ll be attempting to talk to a few people (always a crap shoot when there’s non-stop legislating goin’ on in the respective chambers) and trying to find out a little more about what’s been happening in the peoples’ house.

Early morning in the capitol building is one of arrivals. The occasional school tour group, the staffers and lobbyists, the early morning committee meetings, and various delivery trucks. Shortly, as the different chambers start their business on the floor, the building will fill up with noise and people.
