This Sunday afternoon, March 1st (the unofficial end of winter in my book!) at 3:00, I’ll be at Schlafly’s Tap Room at 21st and Locust in St. Louis for this:

On a green variation of The Biggest Loser, six Kansas communities have adopted the Take Charge Challenge, a competition to reduce their energy use. Reducing waste wattage is just one way Nancy Jackson is encouraging cleaner, greener energy in the Sunflower State.  She’s also working toward 20,000 megawatts of midwestern wind power.  You won’t want to miss this discussion.  Jackson, Executive Director of the Climate & Energy Project, will share her perspective Sunday March 1, 2009 as the featured speaker on a panel discussing effective energy policy at the Annual Meeting of the Missouri Coalition for the Environment (MCE).

I’ll report on it, but you’ll learn a lot more if you go yourself. Everybody’s welcome, but give them a heads up by RSVPing.
