Health Care for America Now just released a new ad questioning Republican Blaine Luetkemeyer’s record of supporting insurance companies and their ability to deny coverage based on pre-existing conditions. Luetkemeyer is facing Democrat Judy Baker (a health care expert, no less) for the open seat in Missouri’s Ninth Congressional District. In the ad, a cancer survivor notes that she just beat her battle with cancer, but because of people like Luetkemeyer and the insurance companies, she could lose her health insurance based on pre-existing conditions like cancer.
