A large group of Callawegians turned out to watch the Biden/Palin debate this week. Folks in Callaway County are really fired up for Obama. This week the Fulton Sun ran a front page story headlined “Obama campaign reaches out to the deaf community”. The article on the local campaign’s efforts to use adaptive telephone technology to reach hearing impaired persons was picked up by Politico, Daily Kos and Huffington Post.

What a great effort in Fulton which is home to the The Missouri School for the Deaf.
Meanwhile, Judy Baker who was recently endorsed by Democracy for America (DfMO presented her a $2000 check from DFA) and 21st Century Democrats, is polling well in Callaway.
I smell Victory up and down the ticket…smells good!

with the technology being used there.
The Kingdom of Callaway will be pretty important for Judy Baker, and I hope it’s pretty helpful for Barack Obama too.
If Barack Obama and his administration put as much effort into running our country as he and his supporters are putting into getting him elected, we definitely have brighter days ahead. Pretty cool! Thanks BillinMidMo!
Thanks for your comments. The organizer in Fulton is now setting up outreach teams from within the deaf community to further spread the word. I believe Senator Obama’s campaign and the way it is run, is indeed an excellent reason to expect great things from an Obama administration.
