Beth Grubb (D) is challenging incumbent Mike McGhee (r) in this race. We’ve previously written about the 122nd Legislative District and Mike McGhee’s right wingnut view of the world:

122nd Legislative District – first quarter campaign finance reports

Beth Grubb in the 122nd – 4th quarter campaign finance reports trickle in

HB 1315: retarded nonsense

Declaring Religious Freedom – Again!

Beth Grubb filed her second quarter 2008 campaign finance report with the Missouri Ethics Commission on July 14th (amended on July 20th):

Let’s take a look at contributions:

A little bit of labor help (despite McGhee getting the AFL-CIO endorsement) and a number of individual contributions.

Campaign expenditures were for printing, signs, fundraising, and a campaign manager (!). The latter is a cost effective and smart move. It’s a sign that Beth Grubb is quite serious about this race.

Mike McGhee filed his second quarter 2008 campaign finance report with the Missouri Ethics Commission on July 15th:

The republican play book – no literature for door to door?

I bet you Beth Grubb didn’t know she was running against John McCain for a seat in the Missouri General Assembly. I’d still give her the better odds of winning the seat.

You all know what to do.
