Selfish Democrats and Opportunistic Republicans Subvert Democratic Party in the City (and Beyond)
Want to get an inside look at City politics? Take a look at this recent post from the ever painfully honest St. Louis American about the seamy side of our local political operatives.
Well, yeah. That was the whole point of the tale wasn’t it? The point was that the speaker wanted the listener to feel discouraged and depressed and then the speaker would shift the conversation and lift the listener out of his or her discouragement by assuring them that the speaker knows the solution. Just align yourself with the speaker and his faction.
Typical politics.
I thought the reaction of the Obama operative was perfectly appropriate – “This is all so fascinating!” A non-response, response.
After reading blogs for years now, it is so hard for me to read work intended for print media because I’m constantly looking for links. Progressive bloggers would have links. Every allegation would be backed up by a link and you could click it to see if it was credible. Instead, as usual you have a list of allegations without detail and with no backup.
So my conclusion? This is just your typical political piece of propoganda. Not worse than what is put out by the other sides of the divide. But the same.
Just politics as usual. The thing Obama says he wants to change.
I thought that article was fascinating too! Some parts of it sound accurate to me, but I think MaryB’s right that its hard to know how much of an agenda the writer has.
