Absent a miracle, it is now a done deal.
I e-mailed my cousins in Wisconsin and congratulated them on having a Senator who believes in the rule of law and the constitution. We in Missouri are sadly lacking on that score.
And the saddest part is that the people of Missouri don’t even know what happened because the media is so poor on these types of issues. That’s what she is counting on.
I will be reminding everyone of this for ever more. She is so wrong on this, it is unforgivable. I think she is counting on being appointed head of the GAO in Obama’s administration, and Nixon can appoint a real Democrat to the seat for two year, and he or she can run as an incumbent in a special election in 2010, when Kit is up…Jeebus, I think about this stuff way too much…
if it is not feasible to organize to get Newspaper ads out like they are doing for Hoyer et al. If some people were to get together–even online perhaps–decide on consistent talking points and blanket major newspapers with letters at regular intervals, it might begin to raise consciousness somewhat perhaps? Or no?
If any of Sen McCaskill’s staff read this blog, let me relay this message:
Sen McCaskill, you suck.
You bamboozled Missouri Democrats. You are as Blue Dog as they come. I hope to heaven we can find a viable primary opponent for your sorry self in 2012.
The Hill says:
Yea Feingold!! Time to make more calls. McCaskill is probably an immovable obstruction, but it can’t hurt to keep phoning and to phone Reid–as well as thanking Feingold and Dodd.
