about the picnic here.
If you move it, consider when to do it. Because it may be more visible for a while on the rec list (hint) than scrolled down the front page.
Just a thought about the potential purchase of Anheiser-Busch by Belgian ImBev. Does anyone else find it ironic that in yesterday’s Post-Dispatch business section, those two free-market warriors, Kit Bond and Todd Akin, were prominently cited for their opposition to this free-market maneuver and were, indeed, trying to bring the heretofore dreaded government intervention to bear, to the extent it is possible, to help derail the purchase?
Perhaps they have not yet figured out that if they had not enabled the disastrous free-market policies of the Bush administration, the economy would not be tanking and the dollar would not be so devalued that purchases of American industries have become just too attrative for the Europeans and others to resist? Nothing like hanging an “Open for Business” sign out front and then declining to do business.

good perspective on why the vote turned out the way it did. Also, Obama just issued a statement that sounds like he has joined the capitulators–and I just called his office and informed his staff that if this was the type of craven leadership he was prepared to offer as president, I was taking the money I was planning to donate to his campaign and giving it to theStrangeBedFellows.com coalition to fight Democratic traitors. This might be too extreme for some, but I am beyond disappointed right now since I really convinced myself that he was able to offer an alternative to the usual cautious, spineless Democrat.
