In light of the recent posts on Rex Sinquefeld…man of 100 PACs, I thought I would post this link to a web ad on Jeff Harris’ site calling on Koster to return Rex’s PAC money:

made a video that makes a good point but is also funny. I just have no idea what Koster is thinking and I like the fact Jeff is taking him on.

As long as it’s not in violation of the letter of the law – what’s the problem? (I know, I know, … so many Republicans don’t care about the letter of the law either, but I’ll give Koster the benefit of the doubt on that one.)
Sinquefeld has found a way to get around the Missouri campaign finance laws and Koster is not only NOT denouncing that, he’s willing to benefit from it. The spirit of the law must mean nothing to him.
Something to think about when deciding if he should be attorney general.

It’s great to see Harris coming out fighting on this one. Koster expects us to trust him that he really is a Democrat but then he goes and does this. Nevermind that he’s still paying Jeff Roe too. Unlike Koster, Harris looks like a tough-minded guy who is willing to stand up on principle. Good for him.

Harris does need a new job, but it sure isn’t statewide office with his flat performance. Democrats: let’s get serious, there’s more union and lawyer base support behind Koster than Donnelly and Harris..COMBINED!

Sen. Koster, you spend three years in the state senate voting to cut Medicaid, voting to PQ and stifle debate in the Senate, voting for the unconstitutional photo ID bill, and generally advancing the Republican cause; you hire the slimiest of GOP consultants, Jeff Roe, to run your AG campaign; you switch parties amid whispers that the switch is due entirely to a poll showing you unable to win the R nomination; and after switching, you skirt campaign finance law by taking $100,000 from the biggest pro-voucher advocate in the state and his phony PACs.
As I have said on this blog before, Sen. Koster, you’ve got to show me that you are a Democrat. So far, I don’t see any evidence.

Jeff has had a number of unions that are also supporting him. He has also raised quite a few dollars from trial attorneys. Most unions as people that have been following this race know are not endorsing.
I have said this before and I will say it again. If Koster wants to really help Democrats he will not enter the race and announce he is running for reelection to the Senate as a Democrat. It would limit what could be a horrible primary battle. It would save a bunch of money because an open senate seat is far more costly than Koster running as an incumbent. It would allow him an opportunity to disprove all his critics like me. That is the right thing to do.
Senator Koster I say this with all sincerity. You may be angry at some of your critics but take a deep breath and think where we are coming from. We have been in the trenches fighting. We want to do right by the people we care about. Please do not make this move. It is not in your interest or the interest of the people we represent.

Why should Koster have to return the money? It was legal, so why do people say he must get it bak? Should everyone who has ever been given money from a PACs give it back?
This site has a nice write up…
