2012, Claire McCaskill, missouri, Senate, Todd Akin, yard signs
Recently we’ve noted a number of Todd Akin (r) yard signs popping up in our locale here in west central Missouri – most alone and in or quite close to the public right of way.

No home for the right wingnut crazy.

Someone stole my Obama yard sign last night:

In the words of Master Yoda:
Steal an Obama sign from my yard, you would, hmm? Sign of desperation that is, fear, and defeat. Yeesssssss.
There is another.

A split ticket yard sign display in upscale urban Kansas City, via an anonymous source:

It took strong sentiments to permit those fence posts to be driven into that manicured lawn.
Evidently, for some, Todd Akin’s (r) crazy talk isn’t as palatable as Mitt Romney’s (r) mendacity. Here’s a hint for the clueless, there is no effective difference among republicans.

Yard signs for the folks opposed to increasing Missouri’s least in the nation tobacco tax – spotted in front of the right of way at a convenience store in west central Missouri:

When is too little next to nothing?

Paid for by the Missouri Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association PAC. What, people won’t patronize
establishments if they can’t get the cheapest smokes? As if spicy jerky isn’t enough?
I dunno, it just seems so grassrootsie. From a corporate point of view.

This sign was still up, at noon today, five weeks after the election.

I’m becoming fond of this particular sign since I see it twice a day. I just might rig up a web cam to watch over it. Nah.

My spouse went out to get the Sunday paper early this morning (the Kansas City Star, nothing useful in it, including the stenographer’s usual mindless bloviations) and matter of factly announced to me, “Somebody stole our Obama yard sign.”
Sure enough, somebody stole all of the Obama yard signs in my neighborhood. That’s a significant number. They left everything else alone.

The scene of the crime…
They’re losing and they know it. Instead of canvassing door to door or working the phones for their candidate(s) of choice during the day, they’re stealing yard signs at night and sleeping in late. You can smell their fear, or their incompetence.
The really funny part? Somewhere in Warrensburg, somebody is sitting on a pile of stolen Obama yard signs, several bearing the legend on the inside in permanent ink: “Stolen from [street address]”. Now it’s just a matter of them making one little misteak…
