A challenger who has more money than an incumbent, and has outspent him so far? Well hello. That’s notable.
A challenger who outraised an incumbent 3 to 1 in September? Well hello. Not to mention that Beth Grubb had at least 77 donors and Mike McGhee had 12 donors.
As noted here, Mike McGhee wanted to retire after his second term, and he basically got forced back by Republicans. That appears to be a bit obvious from these reports.
Someone get the Drudge siren, this district’s going to be very interesting in the last month. If any Western Missouri district typifies the idea of “Be Prepared”, this is the one.
