On the Senate side of events, we have reports in for several candidates. So, Let’s start off with the Joe Sadeghi (D-Marshall, SD21) report.

When we last heard about Dr. Joe, his campaign had a tiny pile of money and a tiny amount of spending. This time, Joe Sadeghi’s campaign has some more money and more spending. He went into the month with $1325 raised, and raised $4655 in September. Although it should be noted that $2800 of that money came from himself. But it’s a more encouraging low total.

Sadeghi spent $3165.23 in September (after spending $1505 before that). Some of his expenditures include $56 on a Democratic party dinner, $85.07 on gasoline, $35 on sign set up, $1.39 on nails, $4.26 on boards, $1.70 on staples, and $100 on television. Sadeghi is also spending money on the newspaper ad circuit ($2616.32) in places like Boonville, Excelsior Springs, Higginsville, Macon, and Marshall. Also, he spent over $100 on a combo of plywood, nails, and other sign material (apparently stuff not covered in the $1.39 for nails). Overall, Sadeghi has under $1600 on hand.

You might ask “Why mention this?”.. but when you run an underfunded campaign, this might be useful stuff to know. Anyways, we all love underdogs.

So, on to..

Inside: David Pearce (R), Jim Lembke (R), a mention of Sandra Aust (D), Luann Ridgeway (R), and Kevin Leeseberg (D).

The Pearce campaign practically sleeps on a bed of money. Pearce raised $113,910 in September and spent $12933.46. Pearce has $259,135.50 on hand.

A break down of Pearce spending: $1608.82 on advertising, $1421.95 on campaign literature (Rocket Group), $2880 on campaign staff (most to Matt Michelson), $741.16 on gas (including a Break Time in Sedalia), $613.61 on newspaper ads, $147.51 on newspaper ads, $158.08 on parade supplies, $1000 to Chris Roepe for ‘sign duty’ and $1325.46 to Campaign Toolkit for signs.

As for contributions, the Missouri Beer Wholesalers contribution was attention-getting (along with a Bev-PAC contribution). I think Michael went over a longer list of the Pearce pile of money.

We’ll see in a few days how Chris Benjamin fared in September.

Jim Lembke raised $110,014 in the period and spent $22,869.18. Lembke also recieved a few large Majority Fund checks.

Sandra Aust doesn’t have her latest report in, but she has recieved some nice checks in the last week, so she’s clearly in a very good position for the final month of this election. Luann Ridgeway raised $133,137.50 and spent $21,033.56 in this period.

Kevin Leeseberg raised $2747 in the period (raising his overall total to $10172) and he spent $727.32. He has $5,296.32 on hand.
