I was struck by NBC Whitehouse correspondent David Gregory on the Today Show yesterday morning reporting that Scott McClellan’s new book stated that the Whitehouse press corps was in the tank for dubya (uh, you mean that didn’t do anything but stenography?). Uh, David, you were there, doesn’t that mean you’re part of the story? Care to comment on your enabling behavior?
That’s why we exist, because they’re so pathetically bad.
I heard Gregory on Hardball. After Gregory said that, Mathews went to the NY Times story about Iraq looking for uranium and then Administrative people on the weekly talk shows citing this story and we should not have to wake up to a nuclear mushroom.
It was devastating.
