A new ad from Claire McCaskill’s (D) campaign, now that Todd Akin is in for the haul to November:
Announcer: Todd Akin, in his own words.
On March eighteenth, two thousand eleven Todd Akin said he didn’t like Social Security. On September third, two thousand eleven Todd Akin said Medicare was unconstitutional, on March sixteenth Akin said he wants to abolish the minimum wage, on April twenty-first said he would eliminate student loans, and on August nineteenth Todd Akin said only some rapes are legitimate.
What will he say next?
Claire McCaskill (D): I’m Claire McCaskill and I approve this message.
Uh, Todd? That’s more than six seconds.
This ad is a lot better than the last McCaskill ad touting her as being in the middle of the senate on a scale of most progressive to most conservative. That makes her less progressive than Joe Lieberman.
I notice McCaskill is a little light in her fundraising. Has everybody decided Akin is toast? I suspect he is going to get lots of money from Jim DeMint and Karl Rove will find a way to slip in some money as well. We all need to open our checkbooks.
