Via Politico:
“I’m in the process of laying the groundwork that I need to get done before making an official announcement,” Steelman told POLITICO. “I’m definitely strongly leaning towards doing this.”
And then Steelman decided to throw a few non-exploratory shots at her opponent.
“Roy Blunt is another white guy in a suit, and I think the public wants change,” Steelman said. “There’s a good old boys’ network out there that’s hard to penetrate… and it’s not always in the best interest of the party or for conservative principles.”
Bwa ha ha ha. Scorched Earth Steelman versus Roy The Insider. Pass the popcorn, this is going to be fun.

And some people thought that we wouldn’t have any political news to cover after the end of the legislative session in May. The Governor’s Ham Breakfast at the State Fair in August could be more fun than a demolition derby.

The conversation turned to the possible GOP Senate primary, and one of them remarked, “Steelman does not give a __. She’ll do it.”

Apparently Pro-Steelman forces stuffed the ballot boxes.
See what happens when we don’t have Voter ID? Cats and Dogs living together. Mass Anarchy.

Only in some parts can one misspell suit, and then start randomly bashing Eric Holder.

Neither is different, they just come from the two most virulently red portions of the state. She’s a classic “from the cloning tank” telegenic wingnut the state party is soooo good at cranking out in great numbers.
But she also typifies how the Repup party’s bench (just like ours to be…blunt) is a mile wide and an inch deep. Furthermore, unlike Blunt, she’s way outside the Repup machine’s orthodoxy in terms of who runs for what office when.
Which is why any candidacy of hers in this context is doomed. The party masters want Blunt and they’ll get him. All she’s doing is burning her bridges vis a vis the party establishment.
And that’s a very bad thing for a batshit, insane wingnut in this state to do. It’ll hurt her down the line.
Oh wait, that’s a good thing. 🙂
