I’m hearing he had folks write questions/concerns on 3×5 cards. His staff then screened all of the cards and selected a few for him to respond to, i.e. softball questions.
From my observation the cards were sorted so that people who lived in the district were first in the queue. There weren’t any particularly softball questions.
I am truly ashamed at all of you for being so hateful . God would not approve of your actions .If you can’t say anything positive and nice don’t say anything at all.
Uh, asking a pointed question of an elected official and expecting an actual answer is not “hateful”.

The reality is the United States cannot afford to give away trillions of dollars to Trump billionaire donors in the form of tax breaks. The USA needs those taxes to run the country. Rational thinking takes priority over personal agendas. To even consider terminating Medicaid and cutting Social Security programs that would jeopardize the lives and make homeless many millions of American children, elderly, disabled, sick and poor many whom are Republican is not only anti Christian but the optics would put a smile on the faces of our international adverseries. What kind of Republican would not clearly see the correct priority.

I don’t understand what the story of the Alamo has to do with firing of thousands of federal employees. When there was the month shut down during Trump’s last administration, thousands of people were out of work. My husband and I were considered essential. Only our mortgage company would let us skip a month in paying. If it went on longer we would have lost our health insurance. We were not allowed to apply for unemployment, get a temporary job (you have to have permission that it doesn’t conflict with your government position) and thousands of people were not buying gas, food, doing entertainment things. This month, hurt the local economy. We still had to buy gas to get to our non paying job. KC metro has more employees if the federal government due it’s central location than Washington DC. Kit Bond worked had to get the jobs here, I campaigned for kit for governor and Senate. Ike Skelton did so much to get the B-2 Bomber and fighters to Missouri. My husband worked for 33 years at SSA he loved what he did helping people when a family member passed, making sure benefits were sent for children when a parent dies. I worked for USDA during the time farmers were having to auction their farm in farm loans and disaster payments. I worked at OPM/DOD administering tests to those who wanted to join the military and in high schools. Then later the IRS. I have a degree in accounting, this is what I did, what really loved to do. Help people when grandma died and found out she hasn’t sent in her yearly 1040 for years. People who had changes, got a late W-2, a corrected W-2, what to do when a spouse dies. Now during peak filing time you, yes you as supporting this dismantling of the federal government, you lay off 1000 people from the IRS service center and more to come. Do you know by LAW if a refund is not issued in 45 days of postmark the government pays interest on those refunds?
And FACT Russia invaded Ukraine. My husband’s family is from Poland, lived under Nazi occupation, his parents put in concentration camps, aunt, uncles in factories and farms and his cousin hung from a lamp pole in the street as an example. You just looked them wrong, you were taken or killed on the spot. What was left of his family lived under Soviet Rule. Nearly as bad as the Nazi. Did you know churches were not allowed? Priests held services in basements, if found they were killed.
No, GOD does not have a plan, you Republicans do not have a plan. Just thousands upon thousands with no income. Pantries have send notice their funding has been cut. Do where will people get food? I am a widow. No one cares about the elderly. Except one, Trump who has decided he is King!?! I never thought I would see what happened in the 30’s -40’s. I am glad my husband has passed now, his parents, his older sister, his aunts and uncles. They do not need to see or experience of the horrors if Nazism again. We mean NEVER AGAIN. They were not Jewish but ROMAN CATHOLIC.
