Instead of removing Social Security and health benefits for the poor, why don’t we end lifetime benefits for members of Congress?
Social Security and Medicare are NOT entitlements. They are paid for by taxpayers themselves. Instead of meeting with billionaire and millionaires like Musk and Ranshwamy to cut the limited income of senior citizen to justify tax cuts once again for those very millionaires and billionaires, you should consider raising the salary amount you deduct social security on. Currently that salary amount is $166,000. It is unimaginable that the way you people want to come up with the money to give these people another tax cut is sickening and puts seniors at risk of living in poverty, Something people like yourself and millionaires and billionaires don’t get because they’ve never been through it

My take is this has occurred because Congress has failed to do its job. Maybe spend less time campaigning and groveling for dollars, so Congress can spend more time actually addressing issues. You spend lots of effort saying there are problems, but where are the results in fixing the problems?
Congressman Mark Alford so Social Security, Medicare, and SNAP are going to be erased, just to feed more money into the largest waster of tax payers money? Tell me. How much has been wasted over the last few decades alone, just trying to replace the Humvee and M-16/4 platform. We still don’t have a solid replacement for either, and it’s cost taxpayers hundreds of billions. Clean up military waste and leave social programs alone.
