Still, no transparency.
No on Amendment 5.
Group supporting Amendment 5 spends more than $3 million ahead of election
July 15, 2026
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)The group promoting Gov. Mike Kehoe’s push to eliminate Missouri’s income tax has spent $3 million so far this election.
Filings with the Missouri Ethics Commission show Missouri Promise PAC has spent $3.3 million from April 1-June 30 supporting Amendment 5. Most of its spending has gone toward “media” so far.
Its major donors in the report are two groups – $1.9 million from Missouri Promise Inc. and $1.5 million from Secure Missouri…

“OBVIOUSLY, THAT’S RIDICULOUS” | We’ve gotten a lot of comments about an extremely misleading PAC-funded advertisement that’s circulating in Missouri, trying to convince people that the extra sales taxes they’ll have to pay if Amendment 5 passes will somehow “make big tech pay, so you don’t have to.”
SPOILER ALERT: It actually makes YOU pay more, so rich folks don’t have to.
