Today Donald Trump (r) proceeded to crap all over his campaign again, holding a non-press conference tour of his new hotel which was shopped as his birther retraction, the presentation of which was enabled by old media. The event was a circus. As it turned out Donald Trump used the media coverage to accuse Hilary Clinton of starting the Obama birther nonsense. Most national media covering that statement correctly labeled it as a lie.
This evening the a news anchor at the Kansas City NBC affiliate reported on the story in their 5:00 p.m. broadcast, recounting Trump’s accusation about Hillary Clinton. There was no context other than “he said.”
While they were still on the air I contacted the anchor via social media:
