In the 2008 general election republican incumbent Jason Brown bested Democratic challenger Mary Anne Baier in the 30th Legislative District taking 62.8% of the vote while significantly outspending his opponent. Brown is term limited out for 2010 (he has a committee raising money for a state senate race), so the 30th will be an open seat race in 2010.
Democrat Alexia Norris has formed a committee and has started raising money. At this point there doesn’t appear to be a republican candidate who has actively started the fundraising process.
