The percentage margin is the smallest since 1908 (when 0.09 [629 votes] separated Taft and Bryan). The vote margin is still larger than 1956 [3,984 votes]. McCain has recieved the second highest vote total in Missouri presidential history, Obama the third, running behind Bush’s 1,455,713 in 2004.
