You know you’re in trouble when:
- A Democrat outpolls your candidate among Republicans. In Iowa, McCain has crashed into the basement. He went from 14.4 percent among Republican voters in March to 1.8 percent in July-August. Obama did better than that, polling 6.7 percent among Republicans. So? Republicans might counter. McCain isn’t the entire party. Well then, how about this stat?
- Only 36 percent of Republicans are happy with their choices of candidates, as opposed to 61 percent of Democrats who like their choices.
