We can’t let this happen. We should march on Washington and stop this travesty. Our nation is totally divided!

Just had a very open and successful presidential election. Now professional protesters, incited by the media, are protesting. Very unfair!

If the circumstances weren’t so abhorrent this would be funny.

Tonight, in Warrensburg, on the campus of the University of Central Missouri:

Starting at 6:00 p.m. approximately two hundred individuals gathered at the Speaker’s Commons. There were University staff and police observing at the edge of the crowd.

The prevalent attitude and a common chant from the crowd: “Fuck Trump”.

As individuals were speaking someone launched fireworks into the crowd from the periphery. The police tried to find the person(s) involved. One individual was struck in a leg by the first firework.

A handful of counter protestors, wearing Trump paraphernalia and carrying a few signs, lined up at the edge of the larger crowd. At one point they chanted “Build that wall.” Volunteers from the larger anti-Trump crowd and a few police officers kept the two groups separated.

The larger group spread out across campus, with a portion marching to another area of campus and another staying on the campus mall, sometimes engaging a handful of Trump supporters.

The portion of the larger group which marched across campus encountered individuals in two pickup trucks which tried to intimidate them. One of the vehicles reportedly circled the group in a parking lot. We later learned that this driver was ticketed. The police stated that he was not a university student. The other vehicle reportedly drove into the crowd, with individuals scattering. No one was struck. That vehicle fled the scene.

On the mall groups of protesters and counter protesters engaged in sometimes heated exchanges. The police and some university professional and academic staff were nearby.

University of Central Missouri President Chuck Ambrose held an open mic forum in the University Union. Before the forum started he spoke with students outside on the mall:

Police informed those attending the forum that if they apprehend the individual in the pickup truck which drove into the crowd they will be charged with assault.

As far as we could tell there were no professional protesters present.
