Democrats have spent a week in the glow of the Obama, Nixon and McCaskill victories, but now what?
There is another election in 2014. If the current trend continues, the Republicans will keep working while the Missouri Democratic Party takes the election off.
Evangelicals have learned that their window peeping platform is deeply offensive to most Missourians. I doubt if we will ever hear the word “rape” again from a Republican candidate.
“Evangelicals” and Republicans are going to be retooling for a while. This is the time for Missouri Democrats to seize the initiative. We have to develop and promote solid young candidates and a unified and winning message for our neighbors across Missouri. Time is short.
What are the Democratic Party’s near term plans except to have a victory party?

Michael, I am serious. I for one am sick and tired of being part of a “Democratic Party” that hides from its democratic roots. What can we do to make sure progress is made in the next two years and we don’t suffer another beating at the hands of the Republicans?
Maybe we should be focusing on what Democrats can and should do and the Republican hijinks on the back burner.
