I took a paper ballot.

I’ll vote on a touch screen after it’s been road-tested for two millennia.

I went to one of the polling stations in Pacific at 7:30 and walked with my handmade “DEMOCRATS SUPPORT PUBLIC EDUCATION” sign for 2 hrs. I was nervous that the Nieves/Curtman tea partiers might hassle me, but they were polite. After I’d been there about an hour, one of them pounded a handmade sign in the ground that said “Republicans support people freedom and US Constitution.” I got the distinct feeling they felt the need to put that sign up in response to mine.
I’m going back from 5 to 6:30 and then over to Mike Frame’s victory party. We feel pretty good about him winning a 3rd term despite the nasty mailers paid for by state Repug party. His opponent, Curtman, is a 29 yr old tea partier endorsed by Brian Nieves. If you don’t know Brian, you wouldn’t believe the story if I told you. He’s moving up from rep to senator, and, as the saying goes, give him enough rope and he’ll hang himself. It’s only a matter of time before his volatile temper blows up on camera.
