Yep, if Jay Nixon (D) wasn’t governor at this point we’d be in a world of hurt because, you know, like many other right wingnuts Missouri House Speaker Ron Richard (r) has a problem with the stimulus:

…House Speaker Ron Richard, R-Joplin, suggested Missouri reject any federal bailout money and “just send it on back” to Washington.
“We could do that,” Richard told about 225 Republicans at the annual event at the University Plaza Hotel…
But you won’t, will you? Because we’re lucky enough to have a Democrat in the governor’s mansion who isn’t an idiot, much unlike that hypocritical republican queen of federal largess and earmarks in Alaska or those right wingnut republican base pandering fools in Idaho, Louisiana, South Carolina, and Texas.

When one of them actually moves beyong “Gramm Standing” and turns it down, get back to me – until one of these wingnuts follows through, they are just chatting to the classless masses.

In 1992, Hulshof got a murder conviction on Joshua Kezer:
While it’s true that this action only affected Kezer and his family, whereas returning stimulus money would affect all Missourians, Hulshof has been characterized by the Post-Dispatch as an ethical person. As if. He’s not the sort I want to see in the Governor’s office.

That everyone will be paying it off via taxes? Sounds fiscally insane to refuse the money knowing your constitutients are on the hook for it.
Hard to believe with all that you hear about how nothing as really happened in New Orleans that Jendel would be one of the refusers.
Something HAS to be done about all of these jerrymandered districts to make them competitive again!!!
