St. Louis Business JournalCarl Bearden, who resigned his post as Missouri House Speaker Pro Tem effective Thursday, said Friday he will join Pelopidas LLC, a newly formed issue advocacy firm.
Bearden said his role in the “influence management firm” was as a “main player…”
“Influence management” must be the new euphemism for lobbying.

Lobbyists are apparently doing their part to keep the food and beverage industry afloat in the State of Missouri.
RBH said:
apparently you can spend $50 and mark it down as for the entire Missouri House (163 people).
So perhaps we need to hire these people to do some catering. After all, covering “163” (or maybe just 90 Republicans) for $50. If that’s true, it’s the most efficient spending spree ever launched by a Republican lobbyist.
