AN ACT
To amend chapter 262, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to rodeos.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 262, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 262.750, to read as follows:
262.750. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the right to conduct and participate in rodeos in this state shall be guaranteed and no law, ordinance, or rule shall be enacted to prohibit the conducting of or participation in rodeos in this state; except that, nothing in this section shall be construed as prohibiting any reasonable restrictions regarding time, place, and manner consistent with other similar events. Promoters of rodeos shall have the authority to establish fees and set rules for their specific events, including but not limited to qualifications and procedures for participation.
[emphasis in original]
There’s nothing about pronunciation in the bill.
Did we miss news about some existential threat to this particular institution? I mean aside from rodeo pageants.
